****Relationships really can work, if we're willing to be honest about them!****

I'm back for a while.

Having been gone for a short time from you, my blog family, I feel a short explanation is in order.

I had no catastrophes or deaths in my life recently (Thank God), but needed some time to get some things in order. Sometimes this is an easy task and sometimes it's almost impossible. I think the latter has been my dilemma for quite some time, years to be more precise. This has been the basis of my absence. I've been online doing some other things that I've committed to, but couldn't also fit in my blogging.

Some of the simplest things in life can have the biggest impact on us. They can bring a smile and a really warm feeling to you. They can make you feel that things, no matter how small, are worth it. I'm one who feels that the little things really are the big things. Let me share with you some of these very things I'm talking about and at a time where they were most appreciated.

"get yourself situated and don't be gone for too long:):)"

Special K
"hope your living life!" and "Hope you are out there living life and it's not living you....:)"
Tina T
"I have to admit I've been wondering where you were. Lots of my
fellow bloggers seem to have gone AWOL lately. Hope you're attending to
some fun things and not all work."
"Well. Then. Get yourself situated. Enjoy the sun. And then return to blogging."

"I've been kinda busy these days too. Hope everything goes well, but get back soon."

These are comments that don't say "Hey, I don't want to loose you passing by my blog and I'll loose traffic." No, they say "Bobby, we care and hope all is well with you!"

I blog about relationships, all kinds. Earlier I used the phrase, "My blog family" and the comments above show my reason for the term. I am almost always a guy with a positive attitude and believe in the compassion and caring nature of human beings. And even when times can be a little confusing or hectic, and my beliefs might slip a bit, there's always those good hearted people that come through, just at the right time, and tend to say, "Bobby, you're not wrong. The world is filled with loving and caring people at every turn."

Thanks guys, I feel the love :)

  1. Hey Bobby! Glad you're back and I'm glad you took the time you needed! I love your comments and your perspective!

  2. PS: Thanks for pointing out that relationships are EVERYWHERE!

  3. What makes me feel alive is when I matter to someone...and even a little hello and a smile, counts. After all the frilly achievements, this is what matters....

  4. Hey Bobby, it's great to have you back (for a while.) Your ears may have been burning while you were gone as Abiola and I were lamenting about how you would be a perfect addition to our new video blog series. You were the first name she mentioned, so I assured her that you had already been invited and have an open invitation. Wishing you all the best!

  5. @Singlutionary-Thank you, and you're welcome too. Relationships ARE everywhere :)

@Special K-I can see that you know what I was talking about! Thanks!

@Tina-wow, I feel really good that my ears were on fire lol. Actually, I have been thinking about it more and more. It may be worth a try I think. Either way, I'll let you know :)

  6. I totally understand what you are saying.. Good for you. But blogworld will be happy to have you back.
I totally agree about some of the simplest things in life being the best and having the most impact on us. I'm looking forward to hearing one day what the little things are that mean the most to you. If my year of unemployment has taught me one thing, it is that the best things in life are most definitely free.

  7. Woohoo!!! You are back! Missed you and all your wise words:)

  8. @TudorCityGirl-Thanks so much! We have in common ideas about the little things, and about them being free. I like being reminded about that from time to time. I'm going to keep in mind your suggestion, maybe in a post, about what the little things that are most important to me are. Great suggestion :)

@Amy- Muchas gracias, be careful though because if someone of your stature tells me that I have words of wisdom, I just might start believing it ;)

  9. I was going to put you on the wanted list for being gone so long, welcome back :)

  10. HSG hahaha thank you, glad to be back!

Thanks so much for your comment and input! :)
