Wearing sexy

I gained a new perspective on sexy this afternoon while watching the reality show, "Tough love." Yes, I watch reality shows from time to time. If you aren't familiar with the show I'm talking about, here's a link to what the show's about: Tough love.

Sexiness can mean different things to different people as I have blogged about in the past. Well, in this episode, the ladies were allowed to pick something sexy to wear and were then photographed in a variety of positions on a couch. They pretty much posed in ways they thought were sexy.

Afterwards, a few men sat and looked at the pictures of the ladies posing on a tv screen for their review. When all was said and done, there were four things that these guys felt were sexy: eye contact, smiles, confidence and fun. I agree that these things are sexy, but I also realized that clothes can be sexy too. I hadn't realized this before. I kind of knew it, but now it sunk in.

I know, how can someone not realize that clothes can be sexy? I guess you've never known a guy that was really that basic about things, huh?

  1. I love that show, "Tough Love". I have missed the last episode so I need to catch up. I love how he's so blunt with the women!

  2. I think its the wearer that makes the clothes sexy. I mean, you can dress me up in a britney spears costume and its not going to be very hot. Of course if I made eye contact, smiled, was confident and had fun, I might come out OK.

  3. I absolutely agree. It's mostly about the person and how the person acts. I have found though that, for example, a lady wearing a guys shirt can be sexy. If she acts a certain way in that shirt, she can become even sexier :)

    Thanks for your input!

  5. I agree with Singlutionary. It's definitely the wearer. If you've ever seen two people wearing the same kind of outfit while looking completely different, you'll understand what I mean.

  6. Wow Monique, that's the perfect example for the point of view! Wish I thought of it lol. What I'm trying to say I guess is that a simple shirt to one guy may be sexy, while another guy may just see a shirt.

  8. You know HSG, that's a very good question! I don't think they can feel sexy all the time, but yes, sometimes. It would depend on the person I think. And also, isn't sexy relative? One man's garbage is another man's treasure ;)

  9. I think that when women plan to dress sexy we make choices based on what criticisms we might receive from other women in addition to what a man will find sexy. I think that is why we often forget about the simple things that men appreciate like a smile and eye contact.
