Valentine's day

I have been reading a lot of blogs lately about V-day (surprised?). Most of the comments have been centered around how people don't really follow, or give much attention, to the holiday. I understand this completely; it's commercialized, singles feel left out, we may feel obligated to give, or receive, flowers and candy etc.

My perspective is that if my partner enjoys a holiday, or special day, I'm probably going to go along with it because it makes her feel good-special. I loose nothing from doing this and even gain something-making her feel special. Isn't this the point anyway?

The one reason that I like V-day is because it follows with something that I believe in; showing my partner that I love her. It's a little reminder of something I, as well as others, should be doing as much as we can on a day to day basis.

Valentine's day-a reminder of HER everyday!

  1. Hey there Bobbyboy!

What you said about if your partner enjoys a certain holiday - then you go along with it. My husband is that way. He's not really into celebrations and all but I on the other hand loves celebrating - so he just goes along with it.

This is a great new site! I really like it. I will update my your links with me. Keep up the great work!

  2. Hi Jade, long time no see!
I think a lot of guys feel this way, but maybe not all want to try to make her feel happy and alive. Like any relationship, it's a give and take.

Great to hear from you again :)

  3. You're right. I don't celebrate V-days or other holidays. Now that you put it in that way I should :)
