I can't tell you the amount of times I've seen laptop love (LDR's) fail. I never kept track of such things, who would? My perception is that most have failed though, sad.
It's not that laptop love doesn't work, I've seen it work. It's not that laptop love is different, love is love, that doesn't change-we do.
So being the glass half full type guy, I have decided firmly that I believe in it, trust it, recommend it, because with all the fakes, all the cheats and liars, at the end of the day-love is love.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
Let me modify this a bit-
All that is necessary for the triumph of fakery in laptop love is for good people to do nothing.
To do nothing...

What is laptop love, may I ask?
ReplyDeleteHi Island girl, laptop love is how people are looking for love from the cyber-world, computers. Whether locally or LDR (long distant relationships).

Well said, and if people take time and don't hurry they may find a real gem :)
ReplyDeleteThanks HSG, I think you understand well :)
ReplyDeleteI guess, like HSG said it, some people are so much in a hurry to get hooked up, thinking that they will instantly fall in-love with that someone. Maybe its because some people felt too much sadness and loneliness that when they find something that tingles their ears, they go for it..hmm...I think that's bad english LOL.
ReplyDeleteSad but true Riza!
ReplyDeleteHey, there's nothing wrong with tingling ears ;)
I think lap top love is the perpetual state of the beginning moments of a relationship when you are hiding behind your best face- in this case, hiding behind a laptop:)
ReplyDeleteCool post Bobbyboy:)
"the perpetual state of the beginning moments of a relationship when you are hiding behind your best face- in this case, hiding behind a laptop"
ReplyDeleteDamn, wish I would have thought to say that!
Thanks Amy :)
Been in a LDR that didn't actually start from LTL. I actually LIKED being in a LDR, as opposed to a near distance relationship. I didn't realize why unti recently--because it allowed me to be functionally single. Not to date other guys, but just to have "me time"
