Wow, it's almost 2009! Where does the time fly? Yep, it's almost that time where many of us make that new years resolution. The beginning of a new year=the start of a new goal.
Some of the more common goals that I've heard through the years were to loose weight, stop smoking, eat healthier, get married etc.
For me, I don't make new years resolutions anymore because I make them as I need to, anytime. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against NYR's, no, I think they can be a great motivator.
What I have been doing for the past 3-5 years I would say, has been to try and be a better person. I remind myself of this goal everyday. It's an ongoing process with no end. By doing this however, I have found that many of the old NYR's I had made are included in my day to day resolutions of becoming that better person.
There's no need to list the things I am working on to become a better person as each person may have different goals, besides, it can be a personal journey as well.
So I guess what I'm saying is that every new year I have my own NYR's, and everyday is a new year. Although it can be a tough journey, I find it easier to succeed-one small step at a time.
Good luck to you with your new years resolutions :)
